WHAT is Programming Tomorrow

This course will help students to develop an understanding of computer science, computational thinking, and programming.

In order to prepare for an ever developing job market, it is important that we begin teaching younger students more about computer science.

Achievement Academy in Sioux Falls is offering a computer science course for students entering 5th, 6th, and 7th grade.

Programming Tomorrow will help students to develop a better understanding of computer science, computational thinking, and programming.

According to the Conference Board, National Science Foundation, and other sources, there are over 1000 open computing jobs in South Dakota. To fill these jobs, there are a little over 200 computer science graduates. In our state, only 19 high schools out of 133, offer classes in computer science. In order to meet the demand of job growth of 3.1x the state average, we need more students to be exposed to computer science.
